Are you a highly motivated professional to work as a Band 8a Clinical Psychologist, (or Band 7 with potential to progress to Band 8a), within the established and supportive Learning Disability Community Team based in East Cheshire?
We work across two office bases in Macclesfield and Crewe.
Our service provides person-centred support to people with learning disabilities, who may also experience co-morbid mental health difficulties, challenging behaviour, and/or autism, using a full multidisciplinary approach. This post will be an integral part of this team.
Do you have significant experience working with people with learning disabilities, demonstrating leadership qualities, and are looking to ensure the most appropriate psychological interventions are offered promptly with service user satisfaction at the core?
Access to transport for work purposes is essential as the post holder will be required to travel as part of their role.
We are recruiting for 1 part-time post, 22.5 hours per week, over 3 days. If you require an adjustment to these hours, please specify in your supporting information on the application.

You will provide specialist assessment, formulation, and intervention to facilitate positive change and improve the quality of life for people with learning disabilities, through direct and indirect therapeutic support.
You will be adaptable to work across various community settings, including people's homes, and will supervise and support junior team members and clinical psychology trainees.
You will benefit from being part of a forward-thinking, supportive multidisciplinary team including psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and speech and language therapists.
A commitment to quality improvement and research is essential, as we host the Centre for Autism, Neurodevelopmental Disorders and Intellectual Disabilities (CANDDID).

New NHS entrants will start at the minimum of the salary scale.
