Overview We are looking for an expereinced Motor Claims Handler to join our team to play an important part in our Commercial customer claims journey. How you'll make an impact Manage a portfolio of motor damage, credit hire and personal injury claims from first notification to settlement. Evaluate and record claims on our in-house system within product standards, check policy coverage, and allocate appropriate codes and reserves Conduct liability enquiries in line with the Adjusters Manual using the most appropriate method Evaluate quantum by collecting relevant evidence and adjusting reserves in accordance with Gallagher Bassett's realistic reserving philosophy Clearly explain decisions on liability and negotiate settlements within authority levels where appropriate Respond to all written and phone enquiries clearly, courteously, and promptly Regularly monitor claims using the diary system to ensure accurate reserves and timely closure About You Credit hire claims experience (Essential) Personal injury claims experience (Desireable) Ability to deal with customers respectfully Good attention to detail Eligible to work in the UK Please be advised that, due to the nature of this role and the type of clients we serve, an enhanced external background check is a requisite part of our recruitment process.
