At Quest Global, we are looking for LV Schematic Engineer (SME) to join one of our Energy customer teams based in Staffordshire, United Kingdom.

Contract Duration: 6 months
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
* Proven experience (8-12 years) in designing, developing, and implementing low voltage secondary systems for power distribution applications.
* Proficiency in Engineering Base software for creating engineering drawings and schematics.
* Experience as an Electrical Schematics Engineer, Electrical Control & Protection Cubicle Designer, and Low Voltage Secondary Schematics & Wiring Drawings Designer.
* Strong understanding of electrical principles, power distribution fundamentals, and low voltage equipment.
* Experience with protective relay coordination, arc flash analysis, and fault current calculations.
* Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes such as IEC, NEC, IEEE, and NEMA.
* Project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and oversee the implementation of electrical control and protection cubicles for various industrial applications.
* Conceptualize cubicle designs and detail specifications using Engineering Base software.
* Design low voltage secondary systems for power distribution projects, including transformers, switchgear, marshalling, distribution board control, and protection panels.
* Use Engineering Base software to design electrical control and protection cubicles based on project requirements.
* Create general arrangement drawings (GA) and layout designs, ensuring compliance with standards and client needs.
* Collaborate with electrical engineers and project managers to understand project goals and integrate technical requirements.
* Conduct feasibility studies and propose design solutions to optimize space, functionality, and efficiency.
* Ensure designs adhere to safety standards, electrical codes, and regulations.
* Prepare bills of materials (BOM) and technical documentation for cubicle designs.
* Maintain a clear understanding of electrical components and their usage in schematics.
* Stay updated on the latest electrical materials to optimize design and performance.
* Support manufacturing and installation teams during production and assembly phases.
* Review and evaluate vendor proposals and technical submissions related to cubicle components.
