Job Description
Planning Engineer required for a long-term contract role, working on behalf of our client, a global leader in offshore oil & gas and offshore wind engineering. We are ideally looking for candidates with at least 5-10 years of planning experience within the offshore oil & gas industry, preferably with experience in the offshore wind sector.
Job Description:
The Planning Engineer will ensure the development of the Project Schedule, especially for tenders as part of our client's offshore wind business.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure the development of the Project Schedule according to contractual requirements and internal standards, verifying its feasibility and highlighting any criticalities.
* Implement the Planning and Progress Control System.
* Ensure any deviation from the plan is promptly spotted and analysed.
* Create a schedule awareness atmosphere amongst all project participants.
* Create and maintain the 90 days look-ahead schedule, weekly schedule, and monthly schedule.
* Assist the Project Control Manager in the preparation of the Project Status Report.
* Support the Project during contract amendments/claims and provide the time impact analysis.
* Participate in risk management activities including schedule risk analysis.
Skills and Qualifications:
* HNC, HND, or degree level qualification in a relevant discipline.
* 5-10 years+ in planning activities within the offshore oil & gas industry, preferably in offshore wind.
* Technical skills: planning for tendering projects phases, T&I, EPCI project experience advantageous.
* IT skills: Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
Job Details:
* Start date: ASAP
* Location: SW London. 2 days per week remote working possible.
* Rate: c. £60-65 p/h Ltd
* Contract duration: c. 1 year
