We seek a qualified Chartered Surveyor, preferably a member of RICS or CAAV, with significant experience in valuations, rural surveying, and land and property management for diverse clients.
Strong management skills are essential, including personnel management, strategic planning, and visionary thinking.
The role aims to ensure the company progresses towards its short-term and long-term objectives aligned with strategic guidelines.
As a Chartered Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing professional services related to property purchase, sale, and development.
* Advising clients on financial viability and providing detailed analysis for informed decision-making.
* Enhancing public perception through representation at professional and farmers’ group meetings and negotiations.
* Preparing valuation reports.
* Offering compensation advice and handling negotiations such as wayleave agreements.
* Managing payment schemes and farm business applications.
* Overseeing estate management, including landlord and tenant negotiations.
* Providing advice on planning, diversification, development, and strategic initiatives.
* Managing residential lettings and property management.
The company has locations in Carlisle, Staveley, Durham, Penrith, Hexham, and Northallerton. The role includes:
* Collaborating with team members to develop and implement business strategies to meet company goals.
* Ensuring company policies and legal guidelines are effectively communicated and adhered to.
* Maintaining trust with business partners and authorities.
* Monitoring financial performance and business ventures.
* Leading the development and performance of H&H Land and Property in line with the company mission.
* Working with the financial controller to prepare budgets and forecasts.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader capable of guiding the company toward profitability while implementing its vision and long-term goals.
Experience at a senior management level, with a solid understanding of market dynamics, corporate finance, and performance metrics, is required.
