A leading independent school in Exeter is seeking an enthusiastic and accomplished Music Teacher to join its vibrant department from September 2025. The school has a rich musical heritage, with choirs, orchestras, jazz ensembles, and chamber groups all playing a central role in school life. The music building features a recital hall, multiple practice rooms, and a professional recording studio.
You will teach classroom music from Years 7 to 13 and support students preparing for GCSE, A-Level, and external music examinations. You will also be involved in the broader musical life of the school, leading an ensemble or choir and contributing to termly concerts, services, and festivals.
Experience and Qualifications
• Music degree and QTS or equivalent teaching experience
• Strong keyboard, vocal, or conducting skills an advantage
• Passion for inspiring pupils across a wide musical spectrum
• Ability to contribute to extra-curricular life essential
• Eligible to work in the UK
