Are you passionate about developing the computing workforce of the future?

We’re looking for a committed and inspiring Computing Lecturer to help shape the future of learners across our FE 16–19 provision. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning across a range of exciting programmes including A-Level Computer Science, Computing T-Levels, Esports, and BTEC Computing.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking college department, supported by strong industry and university partnerships and equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a specialist Microsoft Classroom, Cyber Labs, and a dedicated Computing T-Level space.

Whether you're an experienced lecturer or currently working in industry and looking to transition into teaching, we’d love to hear from you.

You will:

* Inspire learners by combining academic expertise with industry-relevant skills
* Deliver both practical and theoretical sessions that bring computing subjects to life
* Develop innovative teaching materials and resources tailored to course needs
* Track and support student progress to ensure high levels of achievement
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain outstanding teaching standards
* Contribute to the continuous development of the computing curriculum
* Support enrichment activities, employer engagement and student competitions (e.g. iDEA, Esports tournaments)

You need to:

* Hold a relevant degree in Computing or a related subject
* Possess or be working towards a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent)
* Be familiar with relevant qualifications (e.g. BTEC, T-Level, A-Level)
* Have excellent digital skills and confidence using learning technologies
* Be committed to high-quality teaching and supporting learner success
* Understand your responsibility for safeguarding and promoting student welfare

It would be advantageous to have:

* Experience in delivering and managing computing apprenticeships
* Knowledge of vendor certifications or specialist computing qualifications
* Familiarity with Computing T-Levels, Esports delivery, or Pearson qualifications
* Experience with HNC/D or Degree-level delivery
