HAYS Building Services is excited to partner with one of the province’s top main contractors to recruit an MEPmercial Manager for their Pre-Construction team. This role has been created due to sustained growth and a surge of exciting projects across the UK. Your new role
The successful candidate will leverage their experience and skills in a diverse role. As the MEPmercial Manager you will handle Pre-Construction MEP Estimating, collaborating closely with clients, other disciplines, and teams from project inception. You will be accountable for all financial and estimating aspects of MEP tender bids, ensuringpetitive and well-resourced tender costs and quality submissions. You will work within frameworks to evaluate negotiated contracts, aiming to exceedpany targets for new orders with profitable bids.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Degree qualified or Mechanical/Electrical trade
2. Prior experience in MEP estimating for large-scale construction projects Healthcare, Pharma, and Data Centres.
3. Soundmercial Awareness
4. Excellentmunication & negotiation skills
5. High level organisational skills
6. Excellent presentation skills, capable of effectivelymunicatingplex information to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
7. Ability to meet deadlines
8. Excellent numerical, IT and problem-solving skills
9. Ability to work in a fast-moving environment
10. Ability to work on initiative with minimum supervision
11. Good knowledge of construction contracts, particularly the JCT & NEC Forms of Contract
12. Good understanding of building accreditation standards BREEAM, NABERS, WELL etc.
