Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Accountable for the day-to-day treasury operations across the Group including supplier payment process; operation of online banking; associated accounting entries and ensuring high compliance to treasury SoX controls.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accountable for supplier payment process.
o Identifying suppliers to be paid across the different legal entities, in line with Group processes and policies twice monthly.
o Raising payment requests within the online banking platforms.
o Ensuring all suppliers paid in line with payment terms.
o Ensuring process undertaken in line with the Group Treasury policy.
o Accountable for day-to-day liaison with the various bank relationship managers and ensuring issues arising with the different banks are resolved in a timely and compliant manner.
• Accountable for ensuring the accounting system correctly reflects payments made, working across Finance to ensure all bank entries are accurately made in a timely manner.
• Accountable for completing the bank reconciliations in the timelines required and ensuring all reconciling items are identified and resolved in a timely manner. This covers all bank entries including future cash receipts arising from commercialisation.
• Responsible for day-to-day operational banking, requiring-
o Knowing and understanding future payments to be made and ensuring the right amount of money to cover these payments over at least six months period to comply with the Group Treasury Policy
o Awareness of activities underway within the business and how this may impact future within Treasury operations
• Managing the day-to-day relationship with the Group’s banking providers requiring a high level of interpersonal skills to ensure the group requirements are understood and prioritised by the thirds party providers.
• Ownership of Sox controls covering end to end Treasury process
• Responsible for identification and mitigation of risks
• Requirement to work across team to implement new processes and controls requiring strong interpersonal skills to ensure success.
• Accountable for issue resolution for those issues that arise within area of responsibility and working across Finance and the wider organisation to identify and action appropriate resolutions. Including communication to key stakeholders.
• Accountable for ensuring activities are undertaken in line with the Group Treasury policy and related SoX controls.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
Essential
• Experience managing and processing payments across multiple legal entities and multiple currencies, preferably for a global, publicly traded company with multiple subsidiaries operating in multiple currencies.
• Reconciliation of bank and creditor accounts.
• Ability to work across business functions and with key stakeholders for issue resolution.
• Could work in a dynamic and engaging environment with a diverse group of talented colleagues
• Proficient in meeting month-end deadlines
Desirable
• Knowledge of Group treasury operations and money market funds.
• Working Knowledge of Oracle (NetSuite)
