Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care and support to elderly residents in a residential care home setting.
Duties
- Over see the unit you are working on delegating to staff
-Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Administer medication under the direction of healthcare professionals
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents' conditions
- Liaise with healthcare professionals, families, and other staff members to ensure holistic care for residents
Skills
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience in a similar role within a care home environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy and patience when dealing with elderly residents
- Ability to work well within a team and independently
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in a care setting
You Must Hold a Level 3 in Medication Management as a minimum.
