A Snapshot of Your Day
As Head of Supply Chain for Blades and Vanes, you will take full ownership of the turbine blades and vanes supply chain for Siemens Energy’s aero-derivative gas turbines (AGT) product line. Your day will involve working closely with procurement, engineering, production, and logistics colleagues across multiple time zones, ensuring our global supplier base meets demanding requirements for quality, cost, and delivery. Leading a diverse team of experts, you’ll drive both strategic and operational excellence, influencing key decisions that impact Siemens Energy’s future in Gas Services.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Lead the end-to-end supply chain strategy for turbine blades and vanes, ensuring resilience, efficiency, and competitiveness.
2. Build and manage a high-performing international team, including commodity managers, supply quality managers, engineers, and operational purchasers.
3. Secure supplier availability to meet sales and operational demands, ensuring on-time delivery, quality, and cost targets are met.
4. Drive cost reduction, lead time optimization, and supplier technology improvements to strengthen Siemens Energy’s market position.
5. Oversee part qualifications for new engine programs and upgrades, collaborating closely with engineering and product development.
6. Develop suppliers to achieve outstanding performance and ensure all procurement activities comply with agreements, rules, and regulations.
7. Act as a key communication link across procurement, engineering, and operations, ensuring transparency and alignment on blades and vanes activities.
What You Bring
8. 10+ years of experience across supply chain management, procurement, engineering, production, or logistics, preferably within a global industrial environment.
9. Proven leadership and people management skills, with experience guiding international teams.
10. Strong partner management and the ability to influence across functions and regions.
11. A university degree (or equivalent qualification) in engineering, supply chain, business, or a related subject area.
12. Strong commercial attitude with a focus on cost, delivery, and performance.
13. Willingness to travel internationally as required.
14. This position is in a French-speaking environment but requires fluency in English to comprehend documentation and technical terms from international sources, and to communicate with customers, suppliers, or international colleagues.
