We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate BSL Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Sunderland this September.
This is a highly rewarding role supporting students with hearing impairments and additional needs, where communication, patience, and relationship-building are key.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support using BSL
* Support students with a range of additional needs (including ASD and SEMH)
* Adapt communication to meet individual learning styles
* Work closely with teachers and speech & language professionals
* Encourage independence and confidence in communication

* BSL Level 1 minimum (Level 2 or 3 preferred)
* Experience with SEN or a strong interest in working in this sector

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
