Primary School Teaching Assistant
Long term Role starting September 2026 | Full Time 8.30am - 3.30pm term time
Are you a patient, resilient, and caring individual with a passion for supporting children who need a little extra help to thrive?
We are seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to work as a classroom Teaching Assistant with Year 4 and 5, supporting those students 1:1, and also in small groups dependent on the needs of the class each day.
This role is ideal for someone experienced and confident in supporting children with SEND, behavioral needs and Autism. We also need someone who who is committed to building strong, consistent relationships and making a real difference, as this is a long term role for the foreceable.
About the Role
Provide individual 1:1 support and group support
Support emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement with learning
Implement strategies to support SEN, SEMH and Autism-related needs
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school team
Help create a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment
Support both academic progress and social development

Monday to Friday
Full-time school hours 8.30-3.30
Long-term position
Start date: September 2026

Is calm, patient, and consistent in their approach

Is resilient and confident managing challenging behaviour
Works well as part of a team and follows behaviour support plans
