About the Role A well-established and growing City-based firm of Chartered Accountants is seeking a dedicated and ambitious Part-Qualified Accountant with at least two years of experience in public practice. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for the right individual to work closely with the firm's partners, gaining exposure to all areas of practice management. You will play a key role in supporting a varied client portfolio, while developing your technical skills and business acumen in a supportive and professional environment. Key Responsibilities Preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with UK accounting standards Assisting in the planning and execution of audits for a range of clients Direct communication with clients to gather information, resolve queries and provide updates Managing day-to-day client relationships and providing high-quality service Preparation and submission of corporation and personal tax returns Assisting in tax planning and advisory projects under supervision of the partners Supporting the firm's senior staff and partners with practice management duties Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and internal procedures Required Skills and Experience Part-qualified ACCA (ideally having completed audit and tax modules) Minimum of 2 years' experience in a UK public practice accounting firm Strong technical knowledge of accounting, audit and taxation High level of numeracy and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise directly with clients Strong organisational and time-management abilities Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel in particular) Desirable Attributes Ambitious and career-focused, with an interest in developing toward partnership Proactive, with a willingness to take initiative and ownership of tasks Eagerness to learn and contribute to firm-wide development A professional attitude and commitment to maintaining high standards
