We are looking for a commis chef, who loves helping to create fabulous food to work alongside the chef de partie and sous chef in preparing our menu.
About The Role
Duties include:
* Maintaining high food quality and presentation standards
* Following kitchen hygiene and food safety regulations at all times
* Helping with stock control, storage, and kitchen organization
* Working efficiently as part of a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
* Learning and developing new cooking techniques and skills
* Following all health and safety regulations
You Will Have
* Previous experience working in a restaurant or culinary environment
* Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
* Passion for food, seasonal ingredients, and an eye for detail
* Understanding of basic food hygiene and safety practices

Leekes Retail was established in 1897 as an ironmonger in the Welsh Valleys and the group has grown and diversified over the last 120 years.
It remains a family business run by the fourth generation with the retail division trading from 4 large home department stores, 2 furniture stores and a builders’ merchants, whilst the leisure grouptwo four-star hotels – the Vale Resort and a 17th century grade I listed castle Hensol Castle in addition to a gin distillery and visitor centre.
