My Walsall based Fabrication company are looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.
Duties:-
* Controlling and allocating resources (responsible for around 10/16 personnel) consisting of platers, fitters, welders, operatives and apprentices.
* Assist in control of consumables.
* Advice and Control of tooling / jigs & fixtures
* Achieving production targets / dates.
* Assist in Data / Time recording of hours.
* Maintain general cleanliness of areas in clean workshop.
* Liaise with QA / Contracts on welding methods.
* Planning, assigning, and directing production work.
* Maintaining organization and discipline.
* Monitoring health & safety in the workplace.
* Issuing work / jobs packages.
* Promote and monitor quality awareness.
* Promote teamwork and communication.
* Assist in maintaining security of the building and contents.
* Assist in training new starters / apprentices.
Key Skills:-
* Ideally have worked as a Production Supervisor
* Familiar with Nuclear fabrication work and clean non-ferrous workshop.
* Being able to read & interpret engineering drawings.
