£13.75 an hour
Start date: ASAP
We are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Learning Support Assistant to join a dedicated Primary School based in Farnborough to work on a full time, temporary basis with the view to go permanent for the right individual. You will be supporting a Year 5 student with additional needs so experience in SEN is essential for this role.
Requirements:
* An enhanced child only DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one.
* Contact references covering the last 24 months and any schools worked at in the last 10 years.
* An up-to-date CV outlining career history.
* Proof of ID and two proofs of address.
The successful candidate will have:
* Recent successful experience as an LSA within a primary setting or working with SEN children.
* GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) grade C or above.
* A clear understanding of assessment for learning in order to feedback and respond effectively to pupil learning.
* Excellent positive behaviour management skills.
* A positive attitude and be flexible to the demands of the role and the needs of the school.
* The skills to work independently and with initiative.
* The ability to plan and evaluate pupils' progress.
* Acute self-awareness, emotional intelligence and the ability to work well under pressure.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and confidentiality
