Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Residential Care Worker to join our team in the Greater Stoke-on-Trent Area. This is an on-site role where you will provide high-quality care, support, and supervision for children and young people in line with their individual care plans. Daily tasks include helping with personal development, facilitating educational or recreational activities, and ensuring the physical and emotional safety of the children entrusted to your care. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, fostering positive relationships, and providing a stable and supportive environment that promotes recovery and growth.
Qualifications
* Skills in providing compassionate care and building strong, supportive relationships with children and young people
* Experience in engaging in recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
* Knowledge of safeguarding practices, record-keeping, and emotional support strategies
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in challenging situations
* Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
* Previous experience in child care, social work, or a related field is an advantage
* A valid driving license and access to reliable transportation is desirable
A commitment to the welfare and development of vulnerable children and a relevant qualification in childcare, social work, or an equivalent field are preferred.
