Sewell Wallis are exclusively working with a well-established Engineering business to secure a new Financial Controller, based out of their Barnsley office. You will be overseeing one of the groups business divisions, as Financial Controller you will be No.1 on site for that division, reporting into the Group Financial Director at head office.

As part of your Financial Controller role, you'll be responsible for the reporting for the division, all team management requirements, as well as business partnering with internal and external stakeholders, this is an exciting role that still gives you the chance to be involved with commercial decisions whilst managing the day to day.

What will you be doing?

Overseeing and ensuring financial and management accounting for the business division are completed.
Divisional business planning and annual budgets.
Divisional and Group financial reporting.
Reviewing forecasts and explaining variances
Identifying, reporting and monitoring financial risks for the division.
Management of a small team
Driving continuous improvement through system improvement and via management information. What skills are we looking for?

Qualified accountant with Financial Controller experience
Strong background in Engineering or Manufacturing industries - with an understanding of project accounting
Excellent communicator who is confident liaising with non-finance team members
Team management experience
Strong commercial acumen
Technically strong with advanced excel skills.What's on offer?
