Schemes range from £500k to £2.5M and include both groundworks packages and commercial build projects. Quantity Surveyor Salary & Benefits Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 DOECar allowanceFuel card22 days holiday + bank holidays (rising to 27 with service)Additional birthday leave (1 day after 12 months)Matched pension scheme - 5% employer / 5% employeeOngoing CPD and genuine progression opportunitiesPermanent position with a stable, growing regional contractor Quantity Surveyor Job Overview Manage the commercial aspects of multiple groundworks and commercial build projects (£500k - £2.5M)Preparation and submission of interim valuations and final accountsProcurement and negotiation of subcontract packagesManagement of subcontractor accounts, variations and paymentsCost planning, forecasting and monthly reportingIdentify and manage commercial risks and opportunitiesLiaise with clients, consultants and supply chain partnersWork closely with Site Managers and Directors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget Quantity Surveyor Job Requirements Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor within a contractor environmentGroundworks contractor experience preferred, although candidates with strong groundworks exposure from other sectors will be consideredExperience working on projects between £500k - £2.5M advantageousStrong understanding of JCT contractsCommercially astute with strong negotiation skillsExcellent communication and organisational abilityFull UK driving licenceBased within commuting distance of the Bristol area This role is open to established Quantity Surveyors as well as strong Assistant Quantity Surveyors looking to step up into a QS position within a supportive and growing business.
