East Kent Colleges Group is looking for a motivated and detail-drivenFinance Assistantto become a valued member of our dynamic Finance team. In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our finances running smoothly — from managing tuition fee collections and monitoring instalment plans to overseeing student loan payments and producing invoices for employers and commercial clients.
You’ll take ownership of debt-chasing activities in line with our Group policy, working closely with debt recovery companies where needed, and providing clear, helpful responses to fee and invoice queries.

Salary per annum: £12,504

About You
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual who can bring the following skills and experience to our Finance team:
* Strongorganisational,administrative, andcommunicationskills
* A clear understanding of thesales ledger process, including:
o Raising invoices
o Allocating payments via electronic methods
* The ability toprioritise workloadeffectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
* Previous experienceworking in a busy finance office, preferably with:
o Sales ledgerand/ordebt collectionresponsibilities
o Use of acomputerised accounting system(e.g. Sage, Agresso, etc.)
* Amethodical and accurate approachto financial tasks
* Work confidently on their own initiative
