We are recruiting a Waking Night Support Worker to join a residential service in Barry, providing overnight support to young people aged 11 to 18 in a safe, stable, and nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities
*
Provide overnight supervision and emotional support to young people
*
Ensure the safety, welfare, and wellbeing of residents throughout the night
*
Promote a calm, safe, and positive environment
*
Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and safeguarding concerns
*
Complete accurate record keeping and handovers for day staff
*
Support young people with routines, independence, and confidence building

Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with young people
*
Strong communication and teamwork skills
*
Previous experience in residential care, support work, or youth work is desirable but not essential
*
Willingness to complete training and work within safeguarding policies
