We have an exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join our Financial Reporting Change team. The Financial Reporting Change team has been recently established to provide subject matter expertise that will drive transformational change to Nationwide’s financial reporting and controls.
We have an exciting time ahead and are seeking to grow the team with high calibre individuals.
As the Accountant in the team, you will be accountable for ensuring that the teams’ documented financial controls and processes are updated with the impacts from any changes delivered by projects across the business. This will also include any changes required from the integration of the Nationwide and Virgin Money businesses.
The role is expected to support the teams’ vision and strategic direction, provide accounting and controls knowledge and build enduring stakeholder relationships.

What you’ll be doing
You will be working alongside change projects to:
* Document new and amended financials controls across a range of product and payment journeys;
* Document new and amended processes operated by the Financial Reporting Team;
* Ensure established Financial Controls Policies continue to be met after the changes have been implemented.
You will operate in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities.
This will also include supporting integration activities between the Virgin Money and Nationwide businesses.
About you
As a minimum you will be:
* A qualified accountant with relevant qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
* Experience of operating, designing or management of financial controls
* Organised with excellent communication skills from both written and verbal perspective
* Able to display stakeholder management and relationship building skills
* Able to work independently, keeping relevant parties informed
* Experience working on projects or changes
* Experience of working within a large regulated organisation
