Job Description
Our client in the finance sector is in need of an Application Support Manager to look after a team of Analysts. The role requires 3 days per week in the office in Hampshire.
This role would suit someone with approximately 8 years experience in application support, various tech stacks. As this is a Lead role our client would need a minimum of 2 years demonstrable experience of leading a team from a day-to-day perspective, as well as appraisals and performance.
Key requirements include:
* Lead and inspire cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, high-quality software and services within a scaled agile framework.
* Own and oversee all aspects of software development - from architecture and design through to build, test, deployment, and support.
* Drive best practices in DevOps, continuous delivery, test automation (TDD/BDD), and cloud-native development.
* Provide architectural direction on Java-based microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems.
* Oversee risk, compliance, and operational excellence to support delivery in a regulated environment.
Technical experience needed (or similar):
* Python, Java.
* Spring, Cucumber, Drools, Spark .
* Gradle, Jenkins.
* Ansible, Terraform.
* AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, AWS EMR (Elastic MapReduce), AWS Networking, VPC, DynamoDB.
* DB2, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Oracle.
* Linux, Mainframe (Legacy computing platform).
* Containers (Kubernetes).
* Alerting and Monitoring (CloudWatch, Prometheus, etc.).
