Help Lead the Largest Independent Distrigo Hub in the UK
We're looking for a driven, hands-on Warehouse Operations Manager to take the reins of our Norwich hub — the largest parts operation within the Thurlow Nunn Group and the UK's largest independent Distrigo site.
This is a leadership role with direct input to the day-to-day operational warehouse and delivery performance. You'll lead a multi-functional team of over 25 staff, drive high standards in safety and service, and shape the operational backbone of a fast-growing, multi-brand OEM parts business.
About the Role
As Warehouse Operations Manager, you will oversee aspects of warehouse and logistics activity, from stock control, to van loading and order dispatch, to driver management and cross-site collaboration.
You'll ensure effective use of our operational systems (Pinnacle, Samsara, Safety Culture), lead daily planning and staffing, and maintain exceptional service standards through robust people, process, and safety management.
This role combines daily operational control with strategic input, supporting the wider growth and evolution of the Thurlow Nunn Distrigo network.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Operational Leadership
* Integral input with the planning and execution of warehouse and delivery operations at the Norwich site.
* Optimise stock flow, route allocation, and last-mile delivery performance.
* Ensure consistent use of Pinnacle (DMS), Samsara (fleet tracking), and Safety Culture (H&S).
* Drive operational improvement projects focused on efficiency, scalability, and customer satisfaction.
* Collaborate across sites for best practice to ensure seamless inter-hub/inter relay coordination.
People Leadership
* Lead and manage a team of 25+ across warehouse, picking, driving, and team leadership roles.
* Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and long-term capability development.
* Build a multi-skilled, high-performing team through effective workforce planning.
* Resolve complex people matters in line with company policy and support succession planning.
Compliance, Health & Safety
* Be the key health & safety lead for the site — owning compliance with legal and internal requirements.
* Ensure daily vehicle checks, warehouse walkarounds, near-miss reports, and corrective actions are in place.
* Contribute to the wider group H&S leadership team and champion a safety-first culture.
Performance & KPI Management
* Monitor and report on core operational KPIs:
* OTIF (On-Time, In-Full) delivery
* Picking accuracy
* Driver compliance and safety
* Productivity and cost-efficiency
* Use data insights to identify and address areas of underperformance or risk.
* Report regularly to senior management on performance, challenges, and opportunities.
What You'll Bring
* Proven experience in a senior warehouse or logistics leadership role
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, develop, and inspire large operational teams
* Practical knowledge of fleet compliance, HR processes, and H&S legislation
* Confident user of warehouse/fleet systems — ideally Pinnacle, Samsara, or similar WMS/TMS platforms
* Analytical thinker with a continuous improvement mindset
* Hands-on, proactive, and confident making decisions in a fast-paced environment
