Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician /MOT Testerto join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for automotive repair and maintenance. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring vehicles are in optimal condition for our customers. As an Automotive Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Duties
* Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as required for repair or maintenance.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to perform various automotive tasks.
* Conduct thorough inspections to identify mechanical issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
* Repair and maintain automotive equipment, ensuring all work meets industry standards.
* Perform Class 4- 7 Mots
* Perform heavy lifting when necessary, particularly when handling large components or equipment.
* Interpret schematics to understand vehicle systems and troubleshoot problems accurately.
* Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
* Occasionally perform welding tasks as needed during repairs.
Experience
Candidates should have relevant experience in the automotive field, demonstrating proficiency in the following areas:
* Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair.
* Familiarity with assembling and disassembling vehicle parts using both hand tools and power tools.
* Previous experience in equipment repair is advantageous.
* Ability to lift heavy objects safely and efficiently.
* Excellent customer service skills to enhance client satisfaction.
* Understanding of schematics for effective problem-solving in vehicle diagnostics.
