TGS provides scientific data and intelligence to companies active in the energy sector. In addition to a global, extensive and diverse energy data library, TGS offers specialized services such as advanced processing and analytics alongside cloud-based data applications and solutions.

Purpose & Scope:

1. Lead and manage government relations as part of the regional business development activities. With a strong focus on the creation of strategic relationships with governments and regulators for the company.

2. Responsible for identifying and securing Multi-Client [MC] revenue and library investment opportunities for relevant region, developing new products and partnerships, and growing the business in a selective and strategic manner to align these new products with company goals.

3. Collaborate with senior level management, Contract and Imaging groups to identify business and technical solution opportunities for new and existing clients and work to leverage the region by focusing on generating new business leads, including acquisitions and partnership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

4. Design, propose and develop new MC opportunities and projects within the assigned region, including preparation of investment case

5. Preparation of client proposals and presentations for review and discussion

6. Work strategically with key client teams to continually identify and search for new MC opportunities

7. Maintain an in-depth understanding of client, partner and competitor business drivers in order to continually assess available opportunities

8. Seek business intelligence from active clients and potential new entrants into assigned countries of focus

9. Ensure maintenance and evergreening of library portfolio

10. Build & maintain government/regulatory relationships in relevant markets

11. Initiate and execute the process of Multi-Client data marketing and license agreement renewal in a timely manner

12. Fully understand the processes and timelines relevant to government approvals, with respect to, block awards, equity transactions, license rounds, permitting, seismic acquisitions, drilling and exploration lifecycles.

13. Manage contractual commitment activities throughout the lifespan of MC agreements

14. Collaborate with Operations, Legal, Finance, Contract, Imaging organizations and potential external partners in developing new opportunities and managing risk

15. Direct responsibility for execution of new project permits

16. Coordinate with global Account Management team to ensure consistency/coordination in client interaction

17. Assist with the generation of quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting estimates, as well as weekly updates to include investment and revenue forecasts

18. Communication - Ability to convey idea/message succinctly, accurately to wide range of audiences. Can communicate unit plans to ensure clarity of purpose and achieve agreed goals. Strong ability to collaborate with all stakeholders and build sound relationships with them.

19. Technical Knowledge - Geo-political knowledge of the assigned region including geo-market, geology, regulatory structure, business personnel and the client base.

20. Business Acumen - Commercial aptitude to execute on new multiclient clients (balance between operational efficiency, strategic positioning and profitability). Ability to translate tactical plans into practical, achievable plans, establishing key focus areas to drive performance.

21. Strategic Ability - Formulates objectives and priorities, and implements plans consistent with the long-term interests of the organization in a global environment. Capitalizes on opportunities and manages risks.

22. Ability to influence - Creates strong commitment among his/her people and influences senior management when relevant. Ability to influence external customers and markets on the organization's value proposition.

23. Ability to communicate in French or Portuguese language, at a business level, is highly advantageous but not essential
