The Role Carpenter Multi Trade opportunity! Due to continued successful growth, we have an excellent opportunity to join our Complex works Fortem team with Amplius Housing repairs as a Carpenter Multi trade The Carpenter Multi trade covers most aspects of complex property repairs and maintenance. We provide a service to social housing properties from Peterborough across to Rushden, Northamptonshire and surrounding areas so travel is essential Core Hours Monday - Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm Generous On call Rota This will involve carrying out repairs and maintenance to Social Housing properties, ensuring all work is undertaken to a high standard with the minimum of supervision. This will involve a high standard of Carpentry, Tiling, Full re fitting, Basic Plumbing etc The Carpenter Multi Trade takes ownership of work, aiming for 'First time Fix' on all jobs, operating within the company Health and Safety guidelines, and remaining within budget and time parameters The Client Fortem's successful contract with Amplius supports nearly 8,000 houses, and we're expecting that to increase significantly in 2025. Our contract includes Repairs & Maintenance, Voids, Complex Works and FRA workstreams with plans to expand into Planned Works and Preventative Maintenance as well Duties and Responsbilities * Completing work for all properties as per the specification, working in a timely and productive manner with specific turnaround deadlines. * Advising Supervisor in a timely manner when other trades are required * Working in partnership with other operatives to complete projects. * Recording and submitting accurate data using relevant business systems electronic devices * Affording excellent customer service to client representatives * Arranging purchase of materials required to deliver the works in a planned and efficient manner * Comply with safeguarding policy and H&S standards at all times * Operating within the company's occupational road risk policies and procedures * Using a PDA smart phone to correspond daily with colleagues to update progress and completion information for your allocated work What you will need Essential criteria: NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent / OR Qualified by experience will be considered Good level of Carpentry and basic plumbing experience Bathroom or Kitchen Fitting skills and experience and Tiling * Full UK driving license (Max 5 points) * No Driving Bans within the last 5 years Desirable: Social housing experience Benefits Benefits include competitive salary and Company Van and fuel card * 25 days annual leave bank holidays & your birthday off* (34 days total) * Eligibility to bonus scheme * Pay review every January * 26 weeks full pay maternity leave * 8 weeks full pay paternity leave * Discounted gym memberships at national and local gyms * Up to £3,000 colleague referral fee * Other benefits including Private pension, Life Insurance, dental care, private healthcare, cycle-to-work scheme, mobile phone provider discounts & more We offer you a bright future, one where you will have the opportunity to develop your career with a fast moving, forward thinking company, who recognise and reward your achievements.
