Charity Jobs NI (part of the Happy Jobs group) is partnering with Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful to recruit a proactive, organized, and dedicated Local Environmental Quality Coordinator to join their team. About the Role:
Coordinate and project manage environmental quality and certification programs within the LEQ department, working closely with the Local Environmental Quality Manager to ensure effective delivery, stakeholder engagement, and supervision of departmental officers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordination: Manage resources to deliver program outputs effectively within budget and deadlines.
2. Project Management: Lead planning, implementation, and reporting of environmental initiatives.
3. Surveying and Certifications: Coordinate programs like Blue Flag, Green Flag, and cleanliness surveys.
4. Community Engagement: Promote community participation and expand geographic coverage.
5. Communications: Serve as the main contact, respond to inquiries, represent the charity, and prepare content.
6. Research Support: Assist in research and policy analysis on environmental sustainability.
7. Authority and Decision-making: Manage stakeholder communications, oversee work, and support marketing efforts.

Qualifications & Experience:
Essential: Relevant degree or 3 years' equivalent experience, including 1 year in surveying/auditing, 2 years in program delivery, and 1 year in staff supervision.
Desirable: Experience in data collection, analysis, reporting, voluntary sector, or local government roles.
Skills:
Strong ICT skills (Microsoft Office).
Licence:
Full current driving license and access to transport.
Knowledge & Understanding:
Essential: Environmental issues.
Desirable: Behavior change principles.
Personal Qualities:
Effective independent and team working, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Additional Requirements:
Occasional travel within Northern Ireland and flexibility for occasional outside hours work. Business hours are flexible, between 8am - 6pm, with core hours from 10am - 4pm, Monday to Friday. Hybrid work (2 days in Belfast).
Salary:
£30,328
Contract:
Permanent, subject to funding.
