Overview
Here at GXO, we're looking for a proactive and confident HR Advisor to join our dynamic HR team in Gorsey Point, supporting our NHS contract. This is a hands-on, site-based role where you'll be the go-to expert for all things Employee Relations (ER), helping managers navigate complex cases and drive positive outcomes. This role is being offered on a part-time, permanent basis. You will be working 30 hours per week, with hours and days that suit you. However, flexibility will be required, this is logistics after all!
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage ER cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and flexible working requests
* Coach and train line managers to build confidence and capability in ER case handling
* Collaborate with the HR Operations Partner to identify trends and implement proactive solutions
* Support absence management through data analysis, Occupational Health liaison, and strategic initiatives
* Administer recruitment processes, contract changes, and onboarding activities
* Drive employee engagement initiatives and contribute to improving survey scores and workplace culture
Qualifications
* Strong experience in managing high-volume ER cases
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including working with Trade Unions
* Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF, SUMIF, COUNT)
* A flexible, organised, and customer-focused approach
