Are you a commercially minded Management Accountant looking for an opportunity where you can make a genuine impact?
We're seeking an experienced and proactive Interim Management Accountant to join our finance team during a period of maternity cover. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting commercial performance, and helping drive process improvements across the finance function.

The Role
As Interim Management Accountant, you will take ownership of the month-end process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while supporting operational and commercial activities across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Full ownership of profit and loss and balance sheet reporting
* Lead weekly project profitability reviews and provide commercial insight
* Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and completed
* Process bank payments and prepare bank reconciliations
* Reconcile and manage intercompany balances
* Prepare and maintain weekly cash flow forecasts
* Support the year-end audit process and provide robust audit evidence
* Assist with finance process improvement and automation initiatives
* Prepare and post intercompany recharges
* Process employee expenses and company credit card transactions
* Prepare payroll journals and cost allocations
* Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support to senior management
About You
We're looking for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys partnering with the business and adding value beyond the numbers.
* Qualified accountant with approximately 5 years' post-qualified experience, although qualified by experience (QBE) candidates will also be considered
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organisation
* Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership
* Able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Experience within manufacturing, engineering, construction, software, or other project-based environments
* Knowledge of project accounting and long-term contract accounting
* Experience identifying and implementing process improvements
* Understanding of health, safety and environmental best practices
