Parks Maintenance Job Description Who You Are We are looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals who are courteous, polite, and possess a strong work ethic. What the Job Involves This role involves maintaining and enhancing Enfield's 100 parks and open spaces, including playgrounds, countryside areas, sports pitches, green spaces on roads, verges, and housing estates, and occasionally school grounds. Daily travel across the Borough is required, and you will be responsible for ensuring these spaces are in excellent condition for residents and visitors. You will perform physical tasks, sometimes unsupervised, and frequently interact with the general public. Skills Previous experience in grounds maintenance - Essential Basic horticultural machinery knowledge - Essential Understanding of Health & Safety - Essential Driving licence up to 3.5 tonne (transit tipper) - Essential, London Borough experience preferred Plant knowledge - Desirable Previous Supervisory Experience - Advantageous but not essential Ability to work with both teams and independently Preparedness for physical tasks and various weather conditions Excellent communication skills for public interaction Essential safety gear (steel toe cap boots) from the first day
