Role: Quality Inspector
Location: Wellingborough
Salary £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
We're recruiting a Quality Inspector for a well-established precision engineering business in Wellingborough. The business produces machined components for the automotive, aerospace and medical sectors and quality sits at the heart of everything they do.
This is a great opportunity for a detail-driven inspector to join a stable, busy shop floor team where your work genuinely matters.
What you'll be doing -
* Inspecting precision machined components at goods-in, in-process and final inspection stages
* Using CMM equipment, height gauges, micrometers, verniers and optical comparators to verify dimensions against drawing
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and geometric tolerances (GD&T)
* Raising and recording non-conformances, completing inspection reports and maintaining accurate quality records
* Supporting first article inspections (FAI) and working closely with the Quality Engineer on CAPA activity
What you'll need -
* Previous inspection experience in aprecision machining or CNC manufacturingenvironment
* Confident using conventional measurement equipment — micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, CMM
* Ability to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances and GD&T symbols
* A methodical, accurate approach and a genuine eye for detail
