We are looking for a resilient individual who is able to manage complex situations, well-organized, and innovative. You will be motivated to provide evidence-based care, promoting a positive experience of maternity services and increasing births in midwifery-led settings.
You will be a key member of the multidisciplinary team, ensuring good communication between midwifery-led and complex midwifery services.
Working in partnership with other lead midwives, the matron for midwifery-led services, and the consultant midwife, the successful candidate will lead a team of skilled midwives and support staff to deliver the Better Births vision of continuity of care for all women.
The Team Leader will have a senior leadership and management role, providing specialist skills and knowledge to support the organization and delivery of care for women and their families throughout pregnancy, birth, and postnatal journey, in line with departmental standards and values.
The role involves monitoring and maintaining high standards of professional practice, fostering a well-being environment, and contributing to effective budget management.
As part of the senior midwifery team, you will contribute to the future development of the maternity service through participation in development initiatives.
Leading the service into the future will require close collaboration with the Consultant Midwife and Matron for midwifery-led services.
