The Role
As an IT Admin Support, you will provide IT system administration activities to support a high-performance compute environment which is critical to provide an analysis and modelling capability that supports key maritime programmes.
Day-to-day, you’ll be involved in Network configuration, IT security patch management, IT asset management, System logging and monitoring.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. User account management and general first line IT support
2. Triage and assign tickets to 2nd level engineers
3. Conduct asset mustering and configuration management
4. Conduct import/export of data in accordance with security policies
5. Create user guides, technical documentation and work instructions
6. Assist with project management, task tracking and audits to maintain compliance
Essential experience of the IT Admin Support:
7. Professional interpersonal/communication skills to convey technical information to technical leaders and project managers
8. Positive attitude and determination to see issues addressed successfully
9. Experience of working with IT technologies
10. Demonstrable experience of working in a team
11. Ability to use standard office packages to compile reports

This role is 37 hours per week based at Portsmouth.
Portsmouth Technology Park (PTP) is one of QinetiQ’s key facilities, focusing on advanced technology development and engineering services.
