Role Overview:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to start your career with Oldham Council as a HR/OD Apprentice, completing the Level 3 Business Administration qualification.
Working across the HR & OD service, you will provide key support to enable the delivery of the Workforce Strategy and associated plans. Working as part of a team to support various officers, you will contribute to an excellent service being provided for the rest of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide administrative support across the HR and Organisational Development Directorate including but not limited to:
* Dealing with office and email enquiries in a professional manner. Taking ownership of, and actively resolving, queries; referring those requiring specialist knowledge to HR and OD colleagues.
* Using a range of computer packages and systems e.g. typing letters in word, inputting data onto spreadsheets in excel, updating electronic calendars in Outlook, iTrent, JobTrain etc
* Supporting colleagues administratively with various projects and sharing your ideas to help improve delivery.
* Arranging & supporting meetings. This may include minute taking.
* Supporting the set up and administration of training events, both online (via MS Teams/ Zoom) and face to face.
* General administrative duties, including online filing, managing and updating documents and files.
* Assisting with the production of statistical information and downloading reports where required for internal and external purposes.
* Raising purchase orders, goods receipting, checking invoices.
Key Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* Sufficient literacy and numeracy skills.
* Ability to use IT applications in relation to the requirements of the post
* Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service
* Willingness to complete the Business Administration Level 3 qualification
