Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an additional Electrical Test Engineer to join their successful and supportive team.
The Role: -
As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and quality of bespoke Low Voltage Electrical Control Panels before they reach the customer.
Your responsibilities will include:
– Testing and fault-finding on Low Voltage Electrical Control Panel assemblies.
– Identifying, recording, and helping resolve build and functionality issues.
– Conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) alongside clients and design engineers.
– Working from electrical schematics to verify system performance and compliance.
– Collaborating closely with production and engineering teams to maintain exceptional quality standards.
– Ensuring all testing activities meet relevant industry regulations and safety requirements
The ideal candidate will have: -
Candidates must demonstrate:
– An electrical qualification such as ONC, City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent.
– Previous experience within a testing environment in the LV Control Panel or Motor Control Centre manufacturing industry.
– The ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings.
– Strong knowledge of IEE Wiring Regulations and industry standards.
– Confidence discussing technical electrical matters with colleagues and customers.
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineers, production teams, and clients.
– A solid understanding of electrical health and safety practices.
– High attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
– Strong organisational skills and excellent timekeeping.
