An ambitious and well-respected secondary school in Westminster is seeking a dedicated and passionate Food Technology Teacher to join their thriving Design & Technology department on a permanent, full-time basis from September 2025. For the right candidate, there is an exciting opportunity to take on a Head of Year position.

4. Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR1c (for potential Head of Year responsibility)
The Role
You will deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, fostering creativity, independence, and practical life skills. The department is well-resourced, with modern facilities and a strong commitment to practical, skills-based learning.
In addition, there is a Head of Year opportunity for an experienced teacher with a proven ability to support student wellbeing, lead on behaviour and attendance, and work collaboratively with staff and families to ensure strong pastoral outcomes.
The ideal candidate will:
5. Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
6. Have experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 is desirable)
7. Be passionate about developing students’ culinary and nutritional understanding
8. Be a reflective and committed practitioner with high expectations
9. Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills
10. Be open to pastoral leadership (if applying for the Head of Year role)
11. Demonstrate the ability to contribute positively to a cohesive and driven school community
