Title: Electrical Facilities Technician

Salary: £36,500 - £38,000 per annum

A market-leading UK plastics manufacturer is expanding and investing in its facilities. They are now looking for a Facilities & Utilities Technician to keep the site running safely and efficiently.
In this role, you will maintain building services and utilities to ensure a safe, functional and compliant working environment for all teams. You will play a key part in smooth site operations and help reduce downtime through proactive maintenance.
Electrical Facilities Technician Responsibilities:
Carry out daily and weekly checks across buildings, grounds and equipment
Complete general maintenance and minor repairs to fabric, fixtures and equipment
Source and manage external contractors to deliver safe, high-quality work
Support preventative maintenance programmes and keep accurate logs
Monitor and test security and fire alarm systems
Assist with porterage duties and room/equipment moves for site needs
Ensure safe handling and storage of substances in line with regulations
Perform maintenance across offices, communal areas, restrooms and some production areas
Manage waste and recycling in line with regulations
Support site engineers with minor maintenance tasksElectrical Facilities Technician Experience:
Experience in a similar role within manufacturing or heavy engineering
NVQ Level 3 in electrical or HVAC engineering
Technical skills in building maintenance, plumbing and basic carpentry
Strong problem-solving ability and a hands-on, can-do approach
Good communication skills and a positive team mindset
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under pressure
Knowledge of health and safety legislation
IPAF and Forklift Truck licence (desirable)
