JOB TITLE: University Bar Manager
SALARY & HOURS: £33,087 | Full-time 35 hours per week, may include shift work across
weekdays, evenings, and weekends
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic University Bar Manager to lead the day-to-day running of our busy campus bars. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of multiple venues, deliver outstanding service, and play a key role in student life by supporting events such as graduations, student balls, and social activities.
The role requires strong operational leadership, excellent people management skills, and a proactive approach to service delivery. You will manage casual staff, oversee stock control, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and collaborate closely with colleagues and the Students' Union to enhance the student experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Overseeing daily bar operations across multiple sites.
* Managing, training, and motivating casual bar staff to deliver excellent customer service.
* Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
* Coordinating bar services for major University events and student activities.
* Managing stock levels, budgets, and supplier relationships.
* Promoting events through engaging marketing and social media content.
* Gathering student feedback and using it to shape future service improvements.
