We have an exciting opportunity within the Finance Operations Team for a Finance Operations Coordinator based at our Peterborough Office. You’ll play a key role in supporting our finance operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and excellent service across the organisation. You’ll also collaborate closely with key stakeholders and teams across Mencap, as well as external partners, to deliver accurate and timely financial support.
This role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) on a permanent contract. We offer flexible working at Mencap, with a mixture of home and office-based work. The successful candidate will be required to commute to our Peterborough office every Monday and Thursday, which will be designated as your contractual workplace.
What will you do as a Finance Operations Coordinator?
* Process payments and manage invoices
* Prepare and post month-end journals
* Handle all finance transactions to maintain the sales, purchase, and general ledgers
* Support end-to-end account management, ensuring consistency and compliance throughout the process
* Collaborate across departments to improve workflows and resolve queries efficiently
Do you have the skills and experience to be our new Finance Operations Coordinator?
* Ideally, a candidate with a finance background
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to investigate and problem-solve when needed
* Someone who takes pride in their work, with a strong attention to detail
* Ability to work as part of a large finance team to get the job done
