Manufacturing Engineer role & responsibilities
We are looking for an ambitious and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join the team to provide support to the business in relation to Engineering, providing a high-quality service to highly regulated industry. The successful candidate will be required to successfully implement machining strategies (CAD CAM) in order to manufacture components to customer specification.
The role
* Create Manufacturing Methods.
* Produce CNC programs using Siemens NX.
* Simulation of CNC Programs using Vericut.
* Provide technical support and expertise to the production team.
* Produce technical production documentation, SOPs, Tooling sheets, inspection sheets etc.
* Design and development of work holding methods including technical drawings.
* Understanding of measurement methods and techniques.
* Interpretation of technical drawings.
* Provide technical support to projects and commercial teams.
* Perform any other duties which may be reasonably associated with the job in order to meet the needs of the company.
The successful candidate
* Highly motivated individual.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Degree/ Apprenticeship in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
* Ideally a minimum of 2-3 years industrial experience.
* Strong knowledge of CNC Machining.
* 3 to 5 years CAD / CAM experience.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to manage own time and workload effectively.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
