Across our Planning colleagues, we work to enable Mattel to win and deliver profitable growth through the right Demand, Supply & Inventory. We connect the dots across functions through the Business Planning process, focusing on People, Service, Cost and Cash. Those in Planning positions across our organisation play a critical role in the journey to transform the overall Supply Chain into a competitive advantage.
The Opportunity
Being part of the EMEA Supply Chain Team, the Associate Manager, Demand Planning role is based in the UK and reports directly into the Supply Chain Manager for Pan-EU Amazon. In this role, you will have 1 direct report. Your role is to lead and execute the Business Planning Process framework, S&OP and Demand Planning process for Pan-EU Amazon as a regional customer; to drive continuous improvements, aligned with regional and global best practices.
Pan-EU Amazon covers all Amazon’s Marketplaces in Europe (currently UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland, Sweden, Netherlands, Belgium and Ireland). Key stakeholders are based across the region in multiple countries.
The EMEA region is a complex, international and dynamic environment and this high-exposure role offers the candidate an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the business and collaborate across functions and countries.
What Your Impact Will Be:
1. Drive improvements in Forecast Variance
2. Lead the local S&OP process with the Demand Planners and Commercial teams, following the monthly cadence
3. Create an independent (most-likely) Demand Plan, using Sales and Marketing inputs. Challenge key stakeholders in the commercial teams to address and close gaps
4. Control the Demand Planning and Submission process
5. Manage, coach and develop the team
6. Attract, grow and retain Talent
7. Key stakeholder management (leadership, commercial, supply chain) across markets
8. Proactively identifying constraints and challenges and developing solutions to mitigate impacts
9. Manage Inventory (Levels and health), and align coverage with business targets
What We’re Looking For:
10. At least 5 - 7 years experience in a supply chain planning role with increasing responsibilities
11. Demonstrated experience in running an S&OP process
12. People management and development experience, preferably in an international (virtual) environment
13. Self assured and skilled communicator both verbally and written including meeting facilitation and presentations
14. Ability to perform in a demanding, dynamic and highly visible organisation
15. Ability to influence and achieve expected results independently by establishing effective cross-functional & cross-culture relationships
16. High level of organizational and time management skills
17. Strong problem solving & analytical ability
18. Working knowledge of demand planning processes and tools; experience with Anaplan, Tableau and Cognos is a plus
19. Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply-Chain or Engineering
20. Expert proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
21. APICS certification or equivalent a plus
