Network Security Specialist
This role provides specialist technical support on complex network security and cyber security deployments for all of our UK contracts. Building strong working relationships, meeting expectations and deadlines, liaising with customer representatives or vendors and directing other support staff are key responsibilities.
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver industry‑leading platforms and enhance own skills.
* Act as a cyber incident decision maker, ensuring mitigation controls and incident response are appropriate.
* Provide security advice and remediation to Lines of Business within BT and external customers.
* Complete and own integration testing on new products and services, producing all relevant supporting documentation.
* Support team leader and line manager.
* Ensure full awareness of the need to safeguard sensitive customer information at all times.

* Comptia Network+ & Security+
* Fortinet
* Cisco ASA & FirePower
* Palo Alto
* Azure / AWS
* Python, Go, Bash
* Native Cloud Security
* Linux/Unix OS
* Windows OS
* Knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP & OSI seven‑layer model and how data networks are structured and operate.
* Knowledge of best engineering practices and continuous delivery.
* Appropriate clearances: MPS, NPPV3 & SC.
