Frisby Church of England Primary School is a small, caring and successful village school situated at the heart of the community in Frisby-on-the-Wreake, Leicestershire. We pride ourselves on our warm, family centred ethos, where every child is known, valued and supported to flourish academically, socially and spiritually.

Guided by our Christian vision “Growing with hope; serving with compassion; transforming with humility” (Romans 12), we are committed to enabling all children to flourish and succeed. We offer a high quality education within a nurturing environment built on positive relationships, inclusion and high expectations for all.

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, compassionate and experienced leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as Assistant Headteacher with SENDCo responsibilities, alongside a teaching commitment in Upper Key Stage 2.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner who is passionate about inclusive education, has a strong understanding of SEND, and is ready to influence whole school practice while remaining rooted in the classroom.

The successful candidate will:

•Be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to the strategic leadership and development of the school

•Lead and manage SEND provision across the school, ensuring high quality inclusive practice and adherence to the SEND Code of Practice

•Act as the school’s designated SENDCo (holding, or willing to work towards, the NASENCo qualification)

•Champion progress, well-being and high aspirations for pupils with SEND

•Work collaboratively with staff, parents and external agencies to meet the needs of all learners

•Teach an Upper Key Stage 2 class, modelling excellent classroom practice and high expectations

•Use assessment and data effectively to inform provision, raise attainment and close gaps

•Support staff development through coaching, guidance and professional dialogue

The ideal candidate will:

•Be an excellent classroom practitioner with successful experience in Upper Key Stage 2

•Have proven experience in leading or contributing to SEND provision

•Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting professional relationships

•Share and actively promote our Christian values and commitment to compassion, inclusion and service

•Be reflective, resilient and motivated to lead positive change

•Have the vision and drive to ensure every child achieves their full potential

We can offer you:

•A supportive, welcoming and values driven school community

•Enthusiastic, polite and motivated children

•A committed and caring staff team who work collaboratively

•Strong support from governors and RISE Multi Academy Trust

•Opportunities for high quality professional development and leadership growth

•The opportunity to make a genuine difference in a small school where leadership impact is clearly visible
