Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Area: Rochdale, Greater Manchester
Start Date: ASAP / October 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only (Permanent)
Salary: £21,000 – £23,500 FTE (depending on experience)
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

🧩 About the Role:
1. Support pupils in the classroom, working 1:1 or with small groups
2. Help deliver engaging lessons under the guidance of the class teacher
3. Assist pupils with additional needs, promoting confidence, communication, and positive behaviour
4. Provide encouragement and motivation – in class, during activities, or on the playground
5. Act as a reliable adult role model, supporting pupils’ social and emotional development
What We’re Looking For:
6. Experience supporting or mentoring children or young people (school, youth work, sports coaching, volunteering or similar)
7. Patient, approachable, and able to build positive relationships with pupils
8. Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE Maths & English or equivalent)
9. Calm under pressure with a positive outlook and sense of humour
10. Committed to inclusion and helping every child succeed

12. Hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced Child Barred List DBS registered with the Update Service
