We are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join a growing Electrical & Mechanical Engineering contractor delivering projects across the UK Water Utilities sector.
This is primarily an office-based role near Reading, with regular travel to client sites across the Thames Water and Southern Water regions for surveys, meetings and project delivery oversight.
This opportunity would suit candidates based within a reasonable commuting distance of Reading who are comfortable travelling to project sites as required.
The Role
You will take responsibility for the full lifecycle delivery of electrical and MEICA projects ranging from £10k to £2m in value.
Working within a small and collaborative project management team, you will manage schemes from feasibility and scoping through procurement, installation, commissioning and final client handover.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-end electrical project lifecycle management
* Site surveys, feasibility and technical scoping
* Managing electrical installations within water / utilities environments
* Programme planning, budgeting and resource coordination
* Commercial management including variations and cost control
* Procurement of materials and subcontractors
* Coordinating multi-disciplined internal teams
* Ensuring compliance with CDM, H&S and electrical standards
* Acting as primary client contact
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience delivering electrical projects
* Electrical apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
* IOSH or NEBOSH
* CDM experience
* Strong commercial awareness
* Ability to interpret technical drawings
* Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
* Water industry experience
* MEICA project exposure
* Project management software experience
