 
        We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and proactive qualified/QBE accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller (GFC), you will provide accounting support to the Devonshire Hotels and Restaurant Group, including the Cavendish Hotel and our holiday cottages. What you’ll be doing: As Management Accountant, you will provide accounting and financial support to the Devonshire Hotels and Restaurant Group, including the Cavendish Hotel and Holiday Cottages. To provide finance support to the Group Financial Controller, FP&A Manager and Senior Management, including the development and production of financial and non-financial management information. Evaluate the impact of new activities and investment opportunities, both before and after implementation. Prepare budgets and forecasts in conjunction with Senior Management, for review by the FP&A Manager. Evaluate business performance, highlighting risks and opportunities to budget and forecasts, and preparing performance reviews, KPI’s, and ad hoc analysis. Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow. Maintain and control records within the management accounts, ensuring all appropriate reconciliations and necessary adjustments are completed. Complete internal audit reviews to ensure compliance with group policies, procedures, and controls. Completion and timely submission of VAT, Statutory and Government statistical returns, and assist in the preparation of the Devonshire Group tax computations. Prepare statutory accounts and support the external audit, as appropriate. Provide system support and maintenance of the Group’s Finance and Business Systems where appropriate, and support system development, including end user training. This is a permanent role, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role will be based at the Chatsworth Estate Office, Derbyshire, but will require weekly travel to the Bolton Abbey Estate Office. Hybrid working will be available with a minimum of 2-days worked from the Estate Office. Who we are looking for: We are seeking an experienced management accountant with excellent attention to detail. You’ll bring: Fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), with proven experience in accounting and financial reporting - typically developed over 2 - 5 years, or through an equivalent combination of qualifications and relevant experience Strong working knowledge of financial systems High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general IT literacy Strong organisational and time management skills Able to prioritise work and work to strict deadlines Team player A commitment to the Devonshire Group values.
