We’re looking for a Transport Manager to take ownership of a full transport function, drive operational excellence, people development, and customer-focused delivery.
What you’ll do:
Lead and inspire a Transport team, ensuring flawless execution of operational plans.
Own health, safety, and compliance – creating a safe, efficient, and motivated workplace.
Drive operational performance: cost control, KPIs, peak planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage customer service, escalations, and delivery standards with precision.
Oversee budgets, resourcing, and strategic planning to meet growth and efficiency targets.
Develop people through coaching, mentoring, and strong team leadership.
Maintain legal compliance across transport operations, including driver hours, vehicle standards, and licensing.
Who you are:
Experienced in managing large transport operations, preferably in Food / FMCG distribution.
Confident at management level with proven leadership and people development skills.
CPC qualified.
Analytical, hands-on, and solutions focused.
Experienced in operational planning, trade union engagement, and transport management systems.
