Job Details
* Role: Data Engineer
* Contract: 15 month fixed term
* Salary: £55,000 - £65,000
* Work pattern: Hybrid – 2 days working from our office in Toddington
As a Data Engineer you will build, optimise and maintain data applications, systems and services. The role combines software engineering discipline with data solution expertise to deliver business value across Moto’s modernising technology landscape.

Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
* Ensure data quality and integrity.
* Optimise and troubleshoot data workflows.
* Implement best practices for data engineering and software development.
Qualifications
* Strong proficiency in Python.
* SQL skills – SQL Server and Snowflake.
* Experience with large databases, transactional datasets and data warehouses with batch processing jobs.
* Familiarity with XML, JSON, CSV file integration.
* Experience consuming data from REST APIs.
* Knowledge of data warehouse design – dimensional modelling, star schema, Kimball.
* Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or GCP).
* Familiarity with git‑based source control.
